God Knows

God knows everything you've done, you're doing, and what you're going to do.

“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭23:24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When someone says God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient it tends to lead to the question "if God is everywhere, has unlimited  power, and is all knowing then why does he allow bad things to happen?" Most people who don't believe that a God exists struggle with this concept. If God was real and is everywhere,  and he can do anything and  he knows everything why does all of this evil still happen?

One mistake we easily make is we put ourselves in the judgement seat. We can see apparent evil and then blame God or use as evidence against such God because he knew that this apparent evil was going to happen but didn't stop it even though he was there and had the power to do so. This would be a fair judgment if we were all knowing but because we are not we can't deny that we might not understand Gods will in these disastrous moments and therefore our faith in those moments falls onto whether we trust God or not.

The other mistake we make is we use God's Will as a punishment for the sins we commit. When bad things happen it's easy to believe God allow them to happen to punish us. The truth is If God is all knowing, knowing what we have done, what we are doing, and what we are going to do it only makes sense that he knows the sins we have committed, the sins we are committing and the sins that we are going to commit in the future and it's in his Will to forgive us then he only has to forgive us once.

Gods nature as omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient can only make sense if we recognize Jesus's death on the cross was the response from a God whose presence transcends our existence. The gift of Jesus's life, death, and resurrection answers the question what's Gods Will in all of this. And that is that we rest our transgressions and burdens on this truth. Jesus lived the perfect life we could not. Jesus suffered the death we deserve because of our sins. And Jesus was raised from the grave conquering death for all that believe.

Lets then go to God because he's always there, he's all powerful and he's all knowing. Let out faith in who he is and what he has done carry us through the struggles and pains of today.
